Sorry to disturb you, but we humans—your mere observers —come to you with some things to say. We are grateful for what you have made and given us. No doubt you always do the best you can. It is we - land owning humans that neglect and abuse you.
We pollute your waters. Kill your children with all our excessive junk, nets, ships and garbage. We don't think long term. We fail to consider options until it is a crisis.
We underestimate your power and strength. We attempt to sail you ill equipped when you storm.
Ocean, we are humbled daily by your richness, beauty, smell, and sound.
We promise you, that we will do our part to care you the way you should be treated. We promise, to only take what we need from you. We promise, to take time regularly to gaze upon your beautiful waves and be thankful for all your offerrings. We promise, we will stand up for you and abuses against you that contaminate your waters. We promise, we will do our best to protect you and yours so we can enjoy you for many years to come. ❤ Anita, Ella-Lise, Carter, Vern, Scotia and Chinstrap
Honestly, I didn’t know this man all that well even though I worked for him several summers... I’ve heard hundreds of stories and I am unbelievably thankful for what he created. Even with the little interaction I had with him, his incredible love for the outdoors was so apparent and contagious. My heart hurts for those of you who knew him so well... prayers and love to all of you. #riverandtrail#goplay#runwild#allthelove
