One of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands from early 2000s. My wife and I always enjoyed cranking this one with the car windows down in the Spring.😊 With the Tides by South. Great UK trio. I miss these guys. @joel_cadbury_music,

Absolutely one for the diary. Gratitude and enormous respect @waynemcgregor and the dancers @companywaynemcgregor ・・・
Directed by Robin Friend and Wayne McGregor, Winged Bull in the Elephant Case tells the story of a remarkable chapter in the @national_gallery’s history. Combining extraordinary dance forms, and filmed underground and in the National Gallery, this immersive performance for the screen questions how far we should go to preserve our cultural heritage in the face of violence and aggression.
It will be broadcast on @bbctwo on 17 March 2018 at 10:40pm, and will be available on BBC iPlayer.
The film also screens centrally to the free exhibition at the National Gallery, Manod: The Nation’s Treasure Caves, until 8 April 2018.
As the Second World War broke out and bombs menaced London, the National Gallery’s art collection was evacuated to Snowdonia, buried for safe-keeping deep in the Manod slate mines. Winged Bull in the Elephant Case dramatises the journey of a lost painting that takes human form, as it strives, with help from its friends, to get back to the National Gallery.
The film features choreography by Wayne McGregor, @charlotte_edmonds, #BotisSeva and @boneticsart, performed by #CompanyWayneMcGregor, #AlessandraFerri, Bonetics, and @farfromthenorm. Written and directed by @robinfriendstudio, choreographed and directed by Wayne, and the live screen director is Rhodri Huw. The music is composed by #JoelCadbury with performances by pianist #JoannaMacGregor and cellist #TundeJegede, and spoken word performed by #IsaiahHull. Introduced by @clemencybh.
A Studio @WayneMcGregor / Illuminations production for BBC Television and @aceagrams. #PerformanceLive is a partnership between ACE, @bbcarts and @batterseaartscentre.
