Some things I've learned in my first weekend of this srs bsns healthy thing: - no one says srs bsns anymore
- when I get super hungry, like to the point of shakiness, I will shove the first thing I can find into my mouth. I need to not let it get to that point and also keep healthy snacks on hand in case it does. - I feel weird making my own separate food when there are guests over and everyone is eating pizza. - I am more likely to say fuck it and just eat the pizza after I've had a couple drinks, even though before the drinks I was being mindful (using diet soda for mixers, snacking on veggies, etc) I need to maybe meal prep for the weekend so the healthy stuff is all ready to go.
FLEXIBLE DIETING FOR FAT LOSS|| Also known as “If It Fits Your Macros” or “IIFYM”, allows you to choose any food as long as it fits within your daily calorie, protein, carb, fat and fibre target.
Flexible dieting focuses more on MINDSET. The goal is to stop thinking of foods as “good” and “bad” but to see them for their macronutrient composition. No food is off limits.
Flexible dieting is all about understanding ENERGY BALANCE. You will lose weight if you are in a CALORIE DEFICIT.
In any diet, you should get the majority of your calories from nutrient dense, whole food. Flexible dieting is all about BALANCE and not feeling restricted of certain items or groups, but rather eating these types of foods in moderation “IF” they fit into your daily goals.
For most people, restricting foods leads to BINGE eating those foods. This is why most diets don’t work. With this approach YOU are in charge & you have the CHOICE.
Flexible dieting allows you to eat a GUILT FREE diet, while still progressing towards your goals. From my experience it’s easier for most clients to adhere to this type of diet, and as I’ve mentioned in my last 3 diet posts, CONSISTENCY is truly all it takes people.
The whole point of HEALTH & FITNESS is to be happier and increase your quality of life. Dieting does not have to be a miserable experience! DM me if you’re looking to achieve and keep your best body ever!
