Went to check out the unofficial @kiltergrips showcase at @climbcentral , where the full reset was done with new holds and shapes poured in CompositeX! Re-climbed this for the gram cos I like the shoulder move from skipping out one of the holds😂 the problems were generally softer this time, but get ready to pull cos they do get pretty burly! #teamclimbasia#bouldering#climbing#ocun#climbcentral

Failing only becomes true failure if I don't evolve from it.
For the past 10 days I have been trying to redpoint Division Bell (5.13d). I really thought that I had it in the bag and got extremely close to pulling through the final crux from the ground, but I’m walking away empty handed as my Squamish season has now officially ended. ▫️
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a milestone goal that I set for myself that I couldn’t complete. I have no excuses other than that I need to be better.
My technical skills and movement need to improve to match my strength and power. My head game needs to level up so that I can fearlessly pull crux moves after skipping draws.▫️ ▫️
Failure is the best teacher (it is not the enemy). I’ll be back for this one in the spring. 🤙
Statik (V9) by @benburrk - really gotta thank @_haziqyeah_ for trying this benchmark with me and providing the psych! I didn’t think I could catch the first big cross, let alone the gaston cut loose! Goes to show that you really need your friends to help push yourself in #climbing ☺️ I’ll come back for the other V9! #teamclimbasia#bouldering#moonboard#ocun
It was a real team effort to send this today! Took a really bad fall off the last move previously and was a little traumatised, but with the combined efforts of @_michaelsia_ and @marcusjairus for the brushing, chalking and filming, we finally documented this! Thanks for the fun session today! #teamclimbasia#bouldering#climbing#ocun
This weeks #climbarabiaclimberfeature is local climber Zahra, @azahra.akhtar ”17th August 2017, the first day I climbed. Outdoors, straight out of bed, 6:30am, in Wadi Hafinah. It was another attempt to satisfy the adrenaline junkie, the thrill seeker inside me. But it was not until my first repelling (after a lot of tears), as I was moving down it hit me how much I loved this sport.
Being a Pakistani raised in Saudi Arabia,
as I like to call it the *kingdom’s old era *; there were minimum opportunities for sports to get involved in. Sports had been in my nature, hence climbing with a mixture of being an Equestrian gave me a perfect combination for my world here.
14th August, 2019, reaching my first 6C proved to me this is the sports I’m willing to work on with all my passion.Climbing not only allows as a mental health break to me, but being a female, in Saudi Arabia, climbing had not only provided with me a healthy physical outlet but also has also enhanced my social circle. Moreover it has allowed me to be part of the Worcester, USA climbing community.” We also love how climbing can bring you into communities all over the world. Thanks for sharing your story with us Zahra!

A fab day yesterday delivering Mountain Training Rock Skills Introduction in Snowdonia. The guys had their first attempt at bouldering to get their footwork dialled before progressing to a few rock climbing routes in the afternoon. They finished with their first ever abseil. Perfect conditions and great company. The Rock Skills Scheme is a great way to introduce Hill and Mountain walkers to the world of rock climbing. The skills learned will help with their understanding of where the boundary crosses from scrambling into rock climbing.
