It’s September so that means it’s haunted house season. This year I was hired by @conjuredmedia to film their visual marketing campaign for @warehouse31. This sequence was titled The Foreman. The lighting set up here was pretty simple. Fill the room up with thick fog and blast a Mickey Mole through the window to creat a soft shaft of light. I would usually do this with a #Leko but I didn’t want to distract and make the shaft hyper visible. The foreman was lit with an #Astra off to the side and another bounced into the ground to create room tone and wrap around his face. To finish it off I just had a small 300W mole backlight.
[**SWIPE** to see the process] by the man @justinjonesdp behind the giant @aputuretech dome we build using 43 120d mkii’s and light domes! Stoked by this crazy idea, read the full post and enjoy! 🎬🎥▶ #filmmakersworld @filmmakersworld
**STORY** It was crazy idea I came up with about a year ago. I told @tedsimtv about it and he laughed and said you’re crazy man! Well, a year later I got a call saying let’s make it happen! I built the previs in cinema4d to put an image to the idea. Then I hit up my boys @saltygrip and @blevfilm_la and they literally built the rig from scratch. It took two full days to build and rig and then @thebowenimage connected every light to DMX so we could individually control each light. Im so impressed with @aputuretech’s ability to create lights that make almost every job easier and more efficient. Enjoy the pics of the process!
