A little Sunday reading 📚☕️ Microcopy writing has probably been one of the skills that I need to work more on for a while now.
On top of not being a native English speaker, coming from an Engineering background, writing has never been my strength. And because of that, most of the projects I worked on I’ve almost always relied on either the marketing team or another colleague for written content.
This always caused a disconnect between the feel and experience I tried to depict to my users and the actual outcome. So, I finally decided to pick up the slack and invest some time learning how to write good microcopy 👨🏻💻🔥.
I’ve only read 2 chapters so far, but it’s already been a useful resource which is why I wanted to cover it for you. If you’re interested in #UXWriting , then I’d strongly suggest checking out Microcopy: The Complete Guide for sure 👌🏻💯

I only have maybe 2 or 3 more hours of work on this web app before I'm happy to call it a finished MVP. ✔️
This project was an incredible learning experience. Before this project, I had absolutely no prior experience with Flask or Django. I found using Flask to be extremely accessible and efficient. It takes the 'Don't Repeat Yourself ' (DRY) concept and runs away with it! 🔥
Handling data structures, databases, forms and email on the back end is extremely easy. I also learned how to create users and sign up forms etc but it was not necessary for this project. ✌🏻
The next stage is making it look nice. CSS, images, animations.. my least favorite part! 😅
What are your best design tips?? 🔥

Today I had my first experience with Upwork tracker.
I was thinking that it is stupid and I didn’t like the idea of recording my mouse activity or keyboard presses.
Now I think, that this is not to bad, it makes me procrastinate less and even if I surf the internet, I do it really quick and motivated.
What experience do you have with trackers?

See that mountain? Would you swim to the other side?
Let's say your goals are on those mountains, metaphorically. But that darn body of water is stopping you from getting over there.
My goals are to be an innovative CTO and a leader in tech. I want to see our mental health app @tappilyapp and our app development academy @javaswift grow, and move new ideas this next 2020 decade.
I know there is a body of water to go across first. And maybe even having to climb those mountains after that.
What are your goals? What is on your mountain?
