Do you prefer to work at a startup or a big/mid size tech company? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I prefer big/mid size tech company, because larger companies can be less hectic, less stressful and able to take up more specific roles 😁
Do you have experience working in on both? What’s your pick? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
About there at the launch of v1.6.0
This update feels like it has been dragging on for awhile. It has, but I’m finally about there. I’ve completed all of the main functionality finally now I just need to fix some minors bugs and add a couple minor features that will help the flow of the app. It will feel so good to have this update launch and see where it goes!
I do need to update all of the screenshots since this update has a brand new UI. On top of that, Premium’s price will be reduced to a value that will hopefully attract more to users. So I have to update the buying view again as well 🙄
I haven’t been so active in posting as I have been preparing for school and chilling a bit more. I have a lot planned for throughout the school year when I’ll have time to do some work. Android for Habite will be coming soon here in the next month and I can’t wait to get that launched as well 🙌🏼
Let’s attack the week! What is one goal you have set for this upcoming week?
If you quit now you’ll end up right back where you first began. And when you first began, you were desperate to be where you are right now! Keep going!! 💯🤘🏻
Never forget why you started & where you are right now! Monday hustle motivation 😈

In about 2 weeks my overall review of this has gone from average to very good headphones 🎧

After a really productive weekend of (finally) painting my bedroom, most things on the tech side of my life didn't go so well yesterday.
I tried to get into a DevOps problem at work that I seriously regret volunteering for now as it's sucking up so much of my time. I haven't had time to do it in about two months, so picking up where I left off was slow and painful. Once it's done I'm buying myself a cake I think. A big one!
I also tried to set up a new build configuration on TeamCity and despite feeling confident at first, this just wasn't working.
Both these issues were compounded because I wasn't able to use my usual PC at work so I kept running into setup issues which added to my time wasted.
Lastly, in my app project Remind Me, I got my build running after the refactoring. But when I tried to retrieve the new data added to the database, it just kept returning a new empty list. I mean, at least it didn't crash but it's still annoying.
These down days on development can come a lot. But, it's important that you remember, they don't last forever.
As the only female developer in my office I often feel quite useless at these times. I don't mind asking for help, but I do try and balance this with trying to work through the problem myself. After all, the other devs have work to do too. And the answer may just be a minute away on Google.
So I think, when I'm in next, I'm going to try again and stop letting everything get me down at once. Always keep in mind, a little progress is still progress!
Keep moving forward everyone, especially you female devs!
