Women’s Entrepreneurship Day brings a multitude of emotions for me.
#WED Top Ten List :) 1) I never saw myself as an entrepreneur despite graduating with two business degrees
2) I started the process naive, blind and unprepared for its process - especially doing it solo!
3) I love being President of my company
4) I wish I had a vice-president to do the work I fail to do properly
5) It’s scarier than I imagined it could be
6) I miss my salary and it’s direct deposit into my bank account every two weeks - I miss security.
7) Similar to my athlete days- when I work hard and succeed I can take credit, when I fail and fall- it’s my lack of preparation and I need to be accountable
8) I have a new set of mentors I never thought I would seek out
9) Now more than ever I know our thoughts can be our greatest obstacle or gift
10) I hope next year on #womensentrepreneurshipday I can look back on this post and smile, pat myself on the back and be grateful I trusted the process
Alright ladies! Let me know if any of these apply to you... we’ve got this! .

We launched this thing 24 days ago and @catlickpodcast just crossed 50,000 downloads. Thank you!
Averages for each episode (swipe to see) were around 3k then 4k and have been progressively building. We're now averaging about 8,000 listens per episode. Episode 6 has been out for about 24 hours and already has 4,000+ listens. Love that eagerness!
Sharing because the most common question I'm getting these days is "So how's the podcast going?". We're posting strong early numbers and, thanks to you all sharing, our little band of catlick listeners is growing every week. New listeners are coming into the series, quickly binge-ing and getting caught up.
We are working hard to improve every episode, and we've already made dozens of tweaks based off your feedback. @shel_dc is nailing the sound design. And the story is just getting warmed up. Remember, this podcast follows 4 big stories and we are still on story #1.
We've also had several hundred of you sign up for THE VAULT, our big digital scrapbook that goes along with the listening experience. Have added over 100 artifacts and two bonus episodes so far. Every week we add new artifacts, and most subscribers are listening to the latest episode and then going to look at all the images for that episode to help visualize and recap the storyline.
ANYWAYS, just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who is listening and sharing. It's making a big difference.
Only after you truly feel self-love can you be ready for self-care. ⠀

Instagram banning and “ghosting” are real? Instagram will definitely deny it, but studies show very clear case proving people’s posts are not showing up when certain hashtags are used. Just to clear one thing up, this does not mean your account has or will be banned. It just means, for some reason, you’re post does not appear in association with that particular hashtag. There are some exceptions, but this issue occurs most often when you use popular hashtags on your posts, or you copy and paste the same groups of hashtags, which may be associated with spam activity. Your posts will not show up in the explore feed as a result. You can avoid this by changing your hashtag list up often.
LINK IN BIO! Please Check out this really quick one minute promo of our podcast Uncommon Sense: A Podcast About Nothing! This is during our segment “Racial Jeopardy 2: Electric Boogaloo” where Cass asks me questions about white people, and I ask him questions about black people. And hilarity follows.
Check out our podcast here https://youtu.be/E1y3UNjhmjM , and hit the description to see the minute marks for all the segments. The Attack of the Clickbait segment is already making big waves and getting media company employees in my inbox (but respectfully and positively to be fair, it’s all love with FW!) and a bunch of others big mad... lol. So check that out, Racial Jeopardy 2, What’s Popping in Pop Culture and any of it at your leisure. AND PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
