This is such a hard aspect for many of us to accept. We all know first hand that each day is its own unique entity. I could spend a day hanging out with friends and be totally fine, but I can do the exact same thing tomorrow and then be bed-bound for days. The unpredictability is so difficult to come to terms with. It’s also so difficult for friends to understand how my body's ability to function can change so rapidly. This makes it extremely difficult to make plans.
While I know how frustrating and hard it can be, please don’t give up on yourself. We all need to take each day one at a time. Try not to put so much pressure on yourself to achieve so much on any given day. Whatever you can achieve is enough. Remember to be kind to yourself, flow with the challenges of the day, and come out feeling as best as you can. Leave a comment below if you agree.

Tis’ the season for PB and J porridge bowls 😜. Actually, who am I kidding, it’s always the season for PB and J porridge. I used to shy away from fats (yep, believe it or not, nut butters were a big fear of mine), but now, as you can see, I love them. My body and mind feel so much better when they are truly nourished - fats are now definitely part of every meal, as they not only make things taste SO much better, but they also ensure that the meal is truly satisfying. So tell me, what’s your favourite nut? Either as a nut butter or just as a solo crunch? 🐿. Deets: chunky cinnamon & vanilla porridge (jumbo oats, flaxseed, vanilla protein, cinnamon, a pinch of salt + soya milk cooked stove top) topped with lots of strawberry jam, peanut butter and a big dollop of Greek yoghurt.

🌸Cookies & cream Rice porridge🌸 ⠀
•60 grams of riceflakes⠀
•200 ml of almond milk, Sweetener ⠀
•Optional: one scoop of @flavsty cookies and cream powder ⠀
•100 grams of soya yogurt ⠀
•Pomegranate seeds ⠀
Heat up the milk-sweetener mixture and add the rice flakes. Lower the head and let it simmer for around 15 minutes. Add the flavor powder and let it simmer for another minute. Stir in the soya yogurt and transfer the porridge to a bowl. Add the pomegranate seeds and enjoy 😉

Being sad and being depressed are two different things. Also, people going through depression don't look so, while someone sad will look sad. The most common reaction is, 'How can you be depressed? You have everything going for you. You are the supposed number one heroine and have a plush home, car, movies... What else do you want?' I don't fear death so much as I fear its prologues: loneliness, decrepitude, pain, debilitation, depression, senility. Depression, for me, has been a couple of different things - but the first time I felt it, I felt helpless, hopeless, and things I had never felt before. I lost myself and my will to live.
