Mae had her @instagram account HACKED. They erased all of her photos and her 40k+ followers are gone. We are trying to contact Instagram to see if we can get it back but so far its not looking hopeful. Please follower the new account (tagged in this photo) she just created from scratch and share your love 💕 @mae.inlove < if this handle isn’t working for you try tapping the photo and using that tag to find her new page ⠀⠀
Instagram is just a social media platform but to us it’s so much more than that, it’s where we share our lives, our recipes and inspiration to the world. If you’re here, following this page, I know you’ll understand what it means to us. ⠀⠀
I’ve finally figured out a flow at FIU! Finding a balance has been a challenge especially since I love this work! As the semester is about to wrap up, let's reflect on a few accommplishments. I expanded our Trans Day of Remembrance programming, executed a multi-part World AIDS Day event, and implemented our first ever Winter Lavender Graduation ceremony (w/ @joey.docx & @mysatellitecall!)
I met advocated for our students with FIU's president, begab updating our website, made contacts for new programs next semester, overhauled our Safe Zone Program, presented over 20 trainings and talks. #iamamachine .
In the past month, I've finally started balancing work with play. The workaholic version of myself that was creeping in is now synthesized with the newer parts of me that puts love, family, friends, and self-care ahead. I will always be an achiever who enjoys productivity and pushing myself to not only get things done but get them done well. But I prefer a work hard, play *harder* mentality! #workhardplayharder
So in November, I made time for downtime for myself, a visit to NY to be with family, a relaxing weekend with Ivana, hang outs with new friends, Miami parties and meetups with old friends, and plenty of exploration of this new city of mine. Balance is the best and I plan to keep it that way! ⚖ #balance
