Babe, I just wanted to shimmy on in and remind you that it's totally OK to take time to recharge 🔌🔋
It's OK if you need to take a minute to hibernate, go inwards and focus on what you need 🥰
This last couple of weeks have been really humbling for me. You might know that I had a LOT going on. I was leaving my job and the home I'd built to start my next chapter with my best guy all whilst trying to keep pushing forward in my business every day. I was overwhelmed and overworked and definitely not taking enough time to recharge 😖
I know first hand that finding balance is HARD. And if you're motivated and ambitious and doing what you love and are passionate about then it can feel so easy to keep on pushing away, thinking you can juggle it all. And maybe you can juggle it all for a bit 🤷🏼♀️ but eventually not taking time to recharge your batteries is probably going to bite you in the butt 🤦🏼♀️
For me that looked like my body giving me a big HELL NO in the form of an eye infection and a mouth full of painful ulcers 🤕 I knew that something really had to give, so I focused my attention on looking after myself, slowing down, sleeping more and eating more veggies and boy do I feel better for it! Not only that but I feel like I now have so much more to give to this wonderful space too 🙌🏻
Investing time in yourself really is the best investment you can make. Recharging your batteries allows you to have so much more to give to all the other important stuff 🌱
How can you take time to recharge this week? Tell me your plans below 👇🏻💖

DO YOU LOVE YOUR WORK?
This morning at 6am I dressed for my work and this was my chosen outfit... For the next 30 minutes I joined 3 other friend online, yes online, and we worked out together... we had fun, we had a giggle, we built up a sweat - what an amazing way to start the day!
Great for your physical health
Great for your mental health
This is my ‘WORK’ and I love it!
I look after ME
I look after MY health FIRST
I look after MY nutrition FIRST
I look after MY fitness FIRST
I play it forward and
HELP OTHERS DO THE SAME
YOU CANNOT HELP OTHERS
IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOURSELF... Does this job interest YOU?
How would you like to make money while looking after YOURSELF?

Sometimes you need to be kind to yourself and look after yourself for once and think about yourself before anyone else x
After tonight, there no chat to see how things are and if I have been okay in health wise (mental and physical). So, keep the ones close to you who make sure you’re okay, been there when your down, give you the support when you need it or think you don’t need it. Fed up helping people out then gets thrown @ ur face 🙃 xo
Concentrating on myself and getting my health back in order. Couldn’t thank my parents, flat mates, close friends and my coach for everything in the past 6 weeks ❤️
Dec 9th in my every day happiness book 👍 dont suffer in silence just ask for help if you need it ☺ I have needed help a couple of times in my life after my kids left home and after my Dad died 😣 The doctor sorted me out.
Swipe to the next photo and think about how it makes you feel when you see your phone battery on red... What is the first action you take? Run for the phone charger? Does it panic you to see your phone battery so low? ———————————————————
What about when our own energy levels are low? How fast do we act then?? Do we even act at all? ————————————————————
Looking after ourselves, our energy, our mental health, is key 🔑 to reaching happiness.
So next time you feel you are starting to run low, grab a ‘top up’
Muscle memory is a wonderful thing!!! 2 weeks back at training after 5.5 months off and my strength is slowly coming back, weighted chins for reps. I’m absolutely blowing myself away with how my body is reacting to training after so long off.
So so so excited to see what this body can do now that it is back together, recovered and has been nurtured with loads of love, nutrition, rest, rest, rest and healing time!!! I have lost so much strength, mobility and condition but... I feel so solid, so together, so strong from the inside!
The foundation I now have is next level!!! #kristygrahamkumabe#freeyourself#beingscaredisgood#womenempowerwomen#womensupportwomen#womenempowerment#strongwomen#strongisthenewpretty#bodytransformation#mindsetmatters#strongmum#happyme#fitness#fitnessmotivation#strengthtraining#weightlosstransformation#weighttraining#womenwholift#girlswholift#mumswholift#resistancetraining#lookafteryourselffirst#bodyimage#positivebodyimage#bodydysmorphia#stretchmarks#selfacceptance#tellyourstory#beyourself

So I’ve read this book almost cover to cover in one sitting. It was so good, I read it again for the second time today. This is a lightly digestible story of a chronic migraine sufferer who found their own way out of their chronic migraine hell. The author makes it clear that what she did to end her chronic migraines will not work for everyone, but I get why she had to write a book, because if it could help one other person, then the effort of writing it would have been worth it. For this author she found fungal / yeast infections in her gut to be the catalyst of her chronic migraines. I’ll certainly look at what she did closely, but what I loved most about it was how the author became her own advocate & found her own way out of her migraine hell. This is such an inspiring story. Get it if you can. It’s certainly making me rethink my diet & gut health. And that in itself is a positive thing I can do for myself!
I do feel like I’m at the mercy of my consultant and what meds he can prescribe me. My consultation was short and sweet this week, a little too quick for my liking, but I know the basics of lifestyle, resting and supplements advise for living with VM. I guess it’s now down to me to drive forward in my recovery & look at broader options, such as gut health, to get me back to normality. So the timing of reading this book was perfect. It’s funny how the timings of things just work out, without you even trying!
Happy Friday everyone xx
