For those that have not experienced Southern Culinary perfection please live vicariously through me and these enticing pictures of our experience last night at the infamous Husk Restaurant in Savannah that I earlier this year reviewed its twin in Charleston. Consistency is key when you have multiple restaurants and unlike Fiola in Washington DC who tried it again in Miami and failed (bless their hearts) Husk hits it out of the ballpark in every category. First the ambiance is set in a beautifully restored Savannah Historic Home that screams Southern Charm and the service as welcoming and attentive but not in a stuffy snooty 2 to 3 Star Michelin way. The Heritage Ribs with Sorghum and Hibiscus melts off of the bone and the flavors beg and torture you until you get that next taste back in your mouth! It is addicting and hypnotic so watch out you may find yourself ordering a second round. No Good Southern Menu is complete without a pimento dish and Husk of course came through with flying colors but the main course we went back to pork again. We had the Heritage Pork loin sans bone with parsnips, sunchoke and turnips that just melted in your mouth with a slight hint of Smokey Bacon......A Wow dish!!! We ended this incredible meal with a Citrus Upside-down Cake with Thyme Ice cream. Can you say hedonistic ....
