Truly no place like home✨ counting down the days until I’m back home in Laguna this week. I’m off to Mammoth tonight for a ski trip and then finally back home!

I normally have the house decorated and our tree lit up by the first of December. We normally have a holiday party and I go all out with the decor. Those are the things that make me really happy for the holiday season. .
This year our home is a mess, I’ve yet to put out a decoration, and the thought of a holiday party... well that’s totally out of the question. .
I am Obsessed with this time of year and everything that comes with it. I love the traditions we have created as a couple. Even if we can’t go through with them all this year. I’m also used to working like a mad woman around this time and getting everyone’s smiles ready for the holidays and the new year.... however this year I’m doing the hardest thing I have ever done and that’s raising our baby girl. .
So nevermind the mess, nevermind the fact that I have no decorations up, and nevermind the fact that we probably won’t get a tree... I’m grateful and happy with the way things are now. The house will get cleaned. We will still celebrate Christmas, we will still take holiday photos (using our friend’s tree 🤣)... and if I get the chance I will make and send out our holiday cards. .
Do you have any holiday traditions? I’d love to read them! ⬇️⬇️
My kind of Christmas tree lighting.🌴🌤🌴 Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

My biggest blessing and also the most difficult thing I have ever done! I can’t believe it’s already been 1 month since I’ve had my baby. .
I’m still getting used to this parenting thing. The transition has been fun but also hard. I have a type A personality, I need organization, systems, and schedules but with a newborn there seems to be no such thing. .
Some moments I feel I’m not cut out for this and wonder how so many women do it! Between the feedings, pumping, diaper changes, washing of bottles, and trying to rock her to sleep I can hardly get anything done. But then I get to look at her sweet little face and my heart melts. 💕 looking forward to more learning experiences with this little one. .
Who else had found it difficult to navigate the new life with a newborn? How did you manage? ⬇️⬇️
