Tower of David- Jerusalem
The Tower of David and the Old Citadel are undoubtedly one of the most prominent symbols of Jerusalem. The Tower of David Museum and its impressive archaeological artifacts reveal the story of the city throughout three thousand years of history, from the days of the biblical kings of Judah to the present day. The mysterious and impressive Kishla structure that stands alongside the fortress gives visitors a glimpse into specific chapters in the history of the city, such as the stories of Hezekiah’s Wall, Herod’s Palace, the Ottoman walls and the British detention center.
The ancient and beautifully restored Citadel stands at the main gate and entrance to the Old City; Jaffa Gate, which still carries a profound symbolic significance, as the meeting point and the transition between ancient Jerusalem and modern-day Jerusalem.
In addition to the main permanent exhibit, the museum displays temporary exhibits throughout the year that serve as a beautiful backdrop to spectacular performances and special cultural events. The activities at the Tower of David are suitable for Israelis and tourists of all ages, regardless of religion, race, sex or nationality, and provide visitors with an unconventional experience and opportunity to learn and understand the rich and fascinating story of the city.
The museum is open to the public 7 days a week and offers guided tours of the permanent and temporary exhibits at no extra cost.
The museum’s permanent exhibit is displayed in the guardrooms of the fortress. It presents the story of Jerusalem throughout history and the most prominent events of every period, from the first evidence of the existence of the city in the second millennium BCE, to the present day as the capital of the State of Israel.

Repost @muslim.daily: "So Netflix has just created a "Christmas special" depicting Jesus as a Gay man and his mother Mary as a weed smoker. Christians should be outraged by this and so should we Muslims be too if not even more than them. We love and respect and follow his teachings and we should be outraged about the level of disrespect shown here to the Prophet Jesus and of the greatest women in Islam, His mother Mary.
Some Christians reading this may be surprised but we as Muslims we believe in Jesus. We love Jesus (peace be upon him). We believe in him to be one of the greatest Prophet's and messenger's sent by God. We believe in his miraculous birth and we believe that he performed miracles. We believe that one day he will come back to mankind.
We believe and love his mother Mary (or as we call her Mariam). She is one of the greatest women in islam. Mary is the only woman mentioned by her name in the Quran, and the only woman to have an entire chapter named after her, Surah Mariam, Chapter Mariam (Mary).
So this is just as if not more disrespectful to us Muslims than it is to Christians. @netflix have so far refused to comment on the uproar this movie has created. A petition has also been created with over 1.5 million signatures, you can sign it by going to the following link: www.bit.ly/netflix-jesus
