Which do you guys prefer: Paperbacks or Hardcovers? ✨ Personally, I like paperbacks for actual reading because they’re easier to hold (and they’re cheaper 😂), but I do think hardcovers are prettier 🤔...though I do find slipcovers annoying and I absolutely cannot read with them on. ✨
How about you guys? I feel like most people prefer paperbacks but maybe I’m wrong 🙃

Hey Bookstagram 👋 Finals have been taking over my life for the past 2 weeks, and as a result I haven’t been as active on here as I would like. BUT, I’m currently working on my last essay of the semester (which for you literature nerds is on a comparison between Jean Toomer’s “Blood Burning Moon” and Langston Hughes’ “Let America Be America Again”), and once that’s out of the way I’ll be officially done! One of the perks of being an English major is that I hardly ever have final exams...just a mountain of essays that are usually due by the last day of classes 🙃. I’m excited to be more active on here again and to get back to my reading life (which unfortunately has also taken a bit of a backseat), but for now here’s some bookshelf porn to brighten up your Monday! I’m hoping to post some reviews later this week of a few great books I’ve read recently, so keep an eye out for that! ☺️🧡

- QOTD : Do you read in English or other languages?
I really like reading in English even if I read more slowly and even if I don't understand all the words, I can understand the general meaning and follow the story without any problems. And then it helps me to improve my vocabulary ☺️
I plan to read a book in English before the end of the month because I haven't read one in a while
See you soon 👋🏻

Have you guys read ONE DAY IN DECEMBER by Josie Silver? It’s one of my favorite books that I read this time of year in 2018, and honestly I’m considering doing a reread at some point this month 😂. I love stories that follow characters throughout a series of years, and apparently I like to torture myself because I can’t resist the angst of unrequited love (and let me tell you, this book did not disappoint on that front). I would also recommend this book if you’re looking for a holiday/winter romance that doesn’t focus too much on the “Christmas” aspect. While it starts (and I believe it also concludes) in the month of December, it does take place year-round and there’s not too much emphasis on the impending holiday. Silver is also coming out with a new book next year titled THE TWO LIVES OF LYDIA BIRD, and it’s already acquired a solid number of positive reviews, so I definitely can’t wait to pick that one up. ☺️

what book do you hope to read before 2020?
there are a lot of books i’m planning to read in january, but “little women” is one i want to read before christmas.
i’ve never really sought out “holiday” books before, but this classic feels like it’s meant to be read around the holidays.
as for the rest of my 2019 library checkouts, we’ll see what i get around to reading. 🤷🏻♀️

This book is about three characters (people) - Jia, Karan and Kavya.

She in a love and relationship with her bachmate for around 7 years. She is waiting for his guys parents acceptance fit marriage.
Karan Rai - The top scorer of IIT and now with a decent job and life. A simple small-town guy who loves his family and the girl. He is trying to convince his parents too marry the girl he loves. .
Kavya - A beautiful Bihari girl who loves Karan from the moment she sees his photo. A simple and homely girl who has pressured masters in Hindi literature with a gold medal. She desires nothing but Karan's happiness.
In this complicated love story who gains in love and who loses in love. .
A simple and delicate story holding every factor and character in the right place. It's was a support fun to read. I can sympathize with Kavya but I may support Jia. I would be more like her - strong, adamant and decisive.

"My life before him was so simple and decided, now after him.....its just...After"-Tessa Young
I read this book a long time ago, but it is still imprinted in my mind.........
Admirable work done by @annatodd ...as this story captivates the reader with it, 4-5 pages in the story and you can't leave it.........
An innocent girl, Tessa Young finds herself attracted towards a bad boy,Hardin Scott. Their relationship goes back and forth during the whole series, it shows relationships are not perfect, it takes time and understanding to make it work. They fought a lot but they still made it together. There is everything in their story, love, drama, passion, hatred, jealousy, madness, dominance, violence and many many more emotions......it is filled with suspense and it just gets more and more interesting and fascinating...i was so engrossed in it that after finishing it i was feeling a weird emptiness......this is a kind of story that encourages one to read more of romance......

How many new books did you get in November? 📚
Here is my little accumulation of books that I bought (mostly second hand) during October and November. Of course I had to leave some of them behind in Paris, but I’m going back to get them in May (or maybe even before then if that’s going to be possible ☺️) Now I can’t wait to get some shelves and a flat and just be happy and cozy 🌿
