I’ve found that what works best for me to relax is going outside, taking walks, small hikes. It reduces my stress significantly! I feel mentally calmer, less anxious, and I’m left with so much energy (way more energy than coffee ☕️ lol). Physically I notice my body start to respond to my training, less inflammation, less bloating, I drop weight easier.
This is what works for me. .
Baths don’t relax me, I don’t really enjoy watching tv, I don’t like sitting still inside lol .
Being outside, that’s what works for me. .
I encourage you to find what works for you. And focus on that. .

Not sure where the switch flipped that I needed to change if I wanted to progress and be better in life, but if there’s anything the military has taught me, it’s that anything is possible if you’re willing to put a little blood and sweat behind it. To accept your losses and embrace your wins. To take the energy of the doubters and turn it into fuel for your fire. How to recognize negative character traits and improve upon yourself. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions from being confused, heartbreak, misplaced self guilt from friends deaths, to pure happiness.... but at the end of the day, I wouldn’t trade these experiences for anything. #ThatKindOfNight#Reflecting

There is always going to be hate. Always. Unfortunately, it’s human nature. It’s a terrible character trait and it’s stemmed from jealousy whether that person wants to admit it or not. I’ve heard everything over the years: “You don’t have what it takes” “you’re fat” “you’re going to die” “roid head cheater” “shit bodybuilder” “give it up” “kill yourself”. Luckily over the years, I’ve developed a thick skin to deal with this type of thing. I know how that the person is coming at me sideways because they want something I have or something I’m doing. They’ll disguise it as being logical. If you’ve ever encountered this, you’re not alone. Just pity them. Embrace your support and continue in your path. Nothing quiets the noise of hate like massive success. Write that down.

As always all sets are working sets. Take as many sets as needed to get to those grueling sets perform 2 sets to or past fail and the for the 3rd do a drop down set (less weight to be able to complete reps)
A1 - Modified Lat Pulldown - 2 sets failing at 8 - 10. Then 1 drop down failing between 10-12
B1 - Chest supported T bar row - 2 sets failing at 8-10. Then 1 drop down failing between 10-12
C1 - Bent over DB row (both hands) - 2 sets failing between 6-8 | Then perform 2 sets of 2 dropsets using the same weight as your first working set as the first drop.
D1 - Machine Lat Pull (elbows finishing higher than in first movement “A1”
D2 - High Cable row
D3 - Top End Pullover Partials (focus on never letting go of the tension)

Exercise: Partial dumbbell lateral raises.
Why partial? This exercise isolates the outter/lateral head of the delt. Also, the partial ROM allows for heavier weight given it is only lifted “part” of the full ROM. It’s grow szn, lift heavy but lift smart! 🤟🏼
