Really happy I decided to do this meet, didn't go as planned but of course when does it ever 😂
Failed my 3rd attempt on everything and honestly I'm alright with it cause I picked my attempts myself and I really wanted to push myself. Obviously I would have liked to get them buttt 🤷🏼♀️

At the beginning of this year I couldn’t even deadlift 135 and yesterday I pulled a clean 225 for my 2nd attempt. My total now is 224.5kg/495lbs so I should at least be a little proud? :’) It’s so easy for me to compare my strength with others, but we all know it’s up to you and only YOU!! I’m in love with powerlifting but definitely wasn’t as focused during my time in Korea. I know my goals and know what I got to do 🥳
It’s OK if you fall down and lose your spark. Just make sure that when you get back up, you rise as the whole damn fire 🔥

The real truth about being crazy lean for a show is that it’s not healthy nor enjoyable. I feel awesome right now, not having to count calories or weight my food, I still manage to eat healthy and stay in track but do I treat myself and eat like a crazy animal?? Absolutely yes!! -
The point of this post is to remind everyone that progress isn’t always seeing crazy ab shots or seeing the definition in your body, sometimes it’s about staying healthy and enjoying the progress. Set goals and trying to find what best works for you. -

@katiesonier recently made a post that I LOVED about “wearing the shorts.” I’m a trainer, I lift 5x a week, and I’m still self conscious about wearing shorts. Like she said— it’s so much easier to cover up with a pair of high waisted leggings and disregard those insecurities entirely, pretending I look TOTALLY the way I’m “supposed to.” But, as a trainer the #1 thing I want my clients to take away is to love themselves and the things their body can do. To love strength and ability and health. So today I forced myself to wear the shorts and you know what? My legs did the thing my legs always do— they squatted, they hip thrusted, they lunged, etc. Nothing changed. They still work, even in shorts!
I have cellulite and I ALWAYS have. I likely always will. It was there when I was dancing, when I was scared of literal food, when I was a cardioholic... and it’s there now, when I’m lifting. It’ll likely be there until and unless I go on an extreme cut or compete. That’s genetics, and it’s where I happen to store fat. And it’s... HUMAN?!!! First two pics— posed, decent lighting. Second two pics— not posed, bad lighting. Me— still alive.
Y’all, love your bodies and what they CAN do. Wear the shorts.
