I've done a 2020 Budget Breakdown of my expenses. This is very loose budget just to get an annual look at how much it is costing us to live annually.
The gas, lights, and water are vague and essentially rounded up to average out highs and lows but this budget includes everything but our savings goals and the possibility of having to carry our rental beyond three months into the New Year.
This is an exercise I encourage everyone to do. Look at your numbers. Get a real feel for how much it's costing you to live each year and look to see if there are ways to scale back a couple of dollars.
This is how much it is costing us to live in San Diego CA.
Edited to add if you make a #2020budget don't forget to tag me and use the hash tag so I can shout you out! And grocery, take out, household, personal and misc expenses are under variables.
Let's go get it! 😎 What are your goals for 2020?? Here are some of mine. My financial goals are a little conservative, only because I'm still getting used to my new pay. Hopefully I'll be able to pay off more of the mortgage! 🏠
EDIT: I thought of another goal: Mind my own business. 😊 Sometimes I get involved or upset about things that I just don't even need to worry about! No more of that in 2020. 🧘♀️

Soooooo I did a thing! I told myself that I would pay off this loan by the end of 2019, and today I did just that.
If you've been following me for awhile you know that I'm team avalanche.
While I 100% love this method, the wins take MUCH longer than they do on the snowball method.
This "win" is 8 moths in the making and I could not be more excited to say goodbye to this loan FOR GOOD! #byefelicia
Here are the stats:
Highest balance- $38,553.40
Highest daily interest- $8.34
Interest rate- 7.9%
Time to payoff- 8 months
ahh! Happy Friday y'all!!

We did it!! 2016 Honda CR-V with AWD. COME TO MAMA.
We were able to accomplish this by using one weird, crazy trick: drive around a shitty car until you can afford a better one. Magic! ✨
It feels kinda weird to be driving somewhere and not hear the engine actively falling out of the car, but I guess we’ll get used to it 🤷🏻♀️
Many thanks to #daveramsey bc I was about half a second away from financing a new Prius when I originally read #totalmoneymakeover a couple of years ago. Oh, and that would have been to replace my 2007 Honda Accord, which I’ve now decided to keep until the engine actually does fall out...
K thanks, going to go valet at a restaurant and parallel park with a BACKUP CAMERA and do all the other things we couldn’t do with the old car😬👋🏻
🙋🏻♀️Raise a hand if you still need to do most (or all) of your holiday shopping. .
Well I still haven’t even made my holiday shopping list yet so 🤷🏻♀️
This weekend’s goal is to get most of it done. Thank God for online shopping right?!

We are starting this page to document our journey.
We are a husband and wife team on a mission to help our son retire by 28.
He is almost 8 right now, so we have approx 20 years to reach our goal.
We don’t know where this journey will be taking us but we are here doing it with one goal in mind.
So that our son is hopefully able to retire by 28. By doing this for him, we believe that he will be able to live a richer, fuller life. To find his purpose and life’s mission. We intend to teach him what we’ve learned through the #daveramsey program and just things we’ve picked up in life. We are not perfect and have made lots and lots of mistakes. So we want to hopefully inspire him early on. Helping him stay out of debt, living on less than he makes and being generous with his money.
God willing, we will reach our goal. If not, this will be a great experience that we will share together.
Thank you for reading and please share any helpful tips that you may have.

This is the season of giving. One of the things we do is we decorate our yard with lots of lights. It's not "Christmas Light Fight" worthy, but it's nice for our area. We do this because we want to bring people joy. We love seeing all the smiles. People take pictures and shoot video. We've even seen kids get out of the car and dance to the music. It's so much fun for us to see this joy being spread throughout our community.
We were not willing to leave the display packed away to save a few bucks this season. No way. People love it and look forward to it every year. It costs us about $400 for the season on our electric bill. It's part of our household budget all year long and we don't even feel the financial impact.
After setting up we started noticing issues with our automatic timers. Not wanting to disappoint, I ordered five new ones... $150. I know it's a #nospend, but this just isn't something I'm going to negotiate on. This is for our community. It's our way of giving to others.
Today we had a significant amount of rain. Fortunately, the lights came on as they should and we were so thankful. Then we had a family come by and walk around our yard (without permission) and we haven't been able to keep them on since. We had to shut down the whole display. We are hoping to find the problem and get up and running again tomorrow afternoon. Perhaps there is an easy fix that won't cost us anything, but who knows?
We all have things in our lives that we won't sacrifice. This is one of them for us. Whatever the cost, we're going to keep these lights on. We had an electrician come by once already and I may have him back again. We are searching for all the possible changes we can make to reduce outages and separate the different areas so they don't all go out at once if there's a problem.
So, tonight the yard is dark and we are sad that families won't be able to enjoy it. You know, it's true what they say, "One light goes out, they all go out!" #cashisking#lifeonabudget#babystep7#debtfreecommunity#frugalliving#livingfrugal#livingonabudget#livelikenooneelse#oneincomefamily#debtfree#frugalfamily#savemoney#nospend#nospend19#christmaslights

2019: the year of evolution.
&& just like that, you realize all the pieces are falling perfectly into place.
Sometimes it’s letting go that is the solution you never knew you needed. Letting go of the past pain, mistakes, regrets, grudges, negativity etc... Letting go of the picture of ‘perfect’ in your head. Letting go of the rope that is causing more pain than it’s worth.
The evolution of 2019 has been the most difficult yet rewarding experience of my life. A year ago, I jumped on the @daveramsey Baby Step train on BS2 (pay off all debt). Which I can excitedly say I AM DEBT FREE! I have also let go of my overbearing, must be running to the brink of exhaustion ( kinda, still working on this one😂), perfectionist mentality.
Taking a step back from running my coaching business by myself, working full-time, gym 6 days a week, constantly trying to diet/lose weight, etc... Letting go of the picture I had in my head of what I am ‘supposed’ to be and replacing it with what actually sets my soul on fire.
I will be kicking off a BRAND NEW Total Wellness challenge program at the beginning of January!! Which I am SO excited to be able to pour my own past experiences with both debt ( & getting out!!) AND health into others!
Letting go isn’t a sign of the weak. Letting go, evolving, and healing is most certainly a sign of great strength. Love yourself enough to evolve, grow, and heal.
Bring it on, 2020!💕

Goal: Financial/Debt Free
As the year winds down, people reflect on their accomplishments of the current year. This is the first year I’ve been happy to reflect on what I’ve accomplished. My 2019 was far more productive than 2018.
Being the graph nerd I am, it was so motivating and exciting to track my progression from month to month. But to compare my now with a year ago is so cool to see!
I am so proud of myself. Two third of my debt is gone! I will be debt free in a matter of months. This is such an amazing feeling!

...”It will happen”. That’s one way to handle certain things you don’t have control of. However, people often times use that phrase in the wrong context. An obvious example would be, you can’t rely on the phrase if you’re trying to get 6-pack abs. You can’t rely on the phrase if you want to pay off all your debt in 13 months. It’s probably going to take intentional action and discipline for certain things to happen in your life. ☺️☺️☺️ Today, the Conrad’s are relying on the one we don’t control. I’ll share more soon. •
I sincerely want to know. What are you proud of in 2019?
I am so proud of taking my health seriously. My family has a laundry list of medial issues and I want to break that cycle with me. This hasn’t been an easy journey, I’ve had to say no to a lot of my favorite indulgences, I’ve had to move my mental health up to the front burner and have some real conversations with myself. But all in all I’m really proud of who I’ve become in 2019. With my health, business, career and marriage. 💕
