When I interview candidates for my firm, I never look for school grades or college grades. Although it does matter to me slightly which university the person has gone to, I mostly skip the grades part. For me, it’s all about experience and exposure - where the person has worked before and for how long, what all she / he has gone through and what all the person has learnt in the respective organizations, and most importantly what kind of reputation / character the person has had in the previous organizations.
I realize that a lot of my followers are aspiring young people who are under a lot of pressure to do well and to ‘make it’. My advice would of course be to work hard and do well, but way more importantly, to do what you’re passionate about, even make mistakes and learn from them, because experience counts the most.
