"He Who Would Teach Men to Die Would Teach Them to Live" - Michel de Montaigne
The Pashupatinath temple stands on the banks of the Bagmati river. The most important and the oldest temple in Kathmandu dedicated to god Shiva, it attracts hundreds of elderly followers of Hinduism. They arrive here to find shelter for the last several weeks of their lives, to meet death, be cremated on the banks of the river and travel their last journey with the waters of the sacred river Bagmati. The cremation rituals might seem unusual for us, but to Hindus death is an important part of the journey of life. Believe it or not, I found this place extremely peaceful despite the obvious presence of death. It openly demonstrates to us the one truth that we all must ultimately accept and experience.

you shall eat bread,
Until you return to the ground,
from which you were taken;
For you are dust,
and to dust you shall return.”
Our guide asked if we would be comfortable seeing the cremation site of the Pashupatinath Temple along the Bagmati River that is revered by the Hindus, because he had several visitors who were not.
As the kids have been exposed to wakes and funerals, we didn’t think too much about this. While the thought of death is scary, as Catholics and Christians, we try to remember that how we respond to situations in our lives here on earth determines our eventual eternal life.
Enjoy sunset on Bodanath Temple.
It''s time for meditation and peaceful evening.
Have a good night 🌠 🙏 🌙
Mother Bagmati never changed herself. It's us who has to be responsible . If we could do it since then , we can and will have to undo it from now . Let's grow up Nepal ! Let's be responsible pic.twitter.com/OxlW16cTBH

In Icons #Mary gives birth to the incarnate Son of God in a #cave. And the manger where Christ sleeps looks suspiciously like a #tomb or coffin, and His swaddling clothes like a burial shroud. As the #icon intends to call to mind, the Son of God's entry into human history, the events leading up to the end of His earthly life, along with his death and burial, and His subsequent #resurrection from another similar #cave.

This artwork was created but then I could feel something holding me back. Almost like it’s not the right time to complete it yet. These things happen in studio. Not that it’s completely stopped, its actually worked on in and around the others. But it’s telling me to pause. There are moments an artwork can pause you and you perhaps even leave it in your cart. 🙋🏻♀️ Serial shopper who leaves everything in her cart and only occasionally follows through over here lol who can relate 😆 So what is it that holds you back from purchasing artwork?
B. Deciding between a few
C. Listening to other people’s input and not listening to your gut

Land in Kathmandu and head first to Chabahil-Jorpati-Sankhu road, followed by Sitapaila-Nagdhunga Road, the Bagmati and Bishnumati corridors, and lastly the Kalanki-Thankot road, and return to the airport to take the flight back home. Thanks for visiting Nepal!
