Thanksgiving is approaching & I’m so hyped for it! Fun fact: my two favorite holidays are Thanksgiving & New Years. I’m already planning the menu in my head 🥧🍗🍠🍖🥔🥖🥦, & it’s going to be that more delicious if I stay on my grind. I’ve been trying to wake up early & go to the gym 😤 but it’s been a struggle. It’s going to happen tomorrow morning though!

Resting today and hoping that’s enough to get my body back to feeling normal. Between working retail at the beginning of the holiday season, stress mentally and physically, and still keeping up with my training has deemed tough and challenging.
I have less than 12 weeks until my next competition. I remember almost two years ago I wanted to qualify for universities but I was no where near having that total and this year was a piece of cake to qualify. I don’t want to get there and show anything less than my best.
Everything that is in my hands (rest, water intake, food, training) needs to be my primary focus for the next few months along with getting through extra long hours and extra long weeks at work. I know this season will challenge me in more ways than one, but I am ready to get through it one way or another.
“I started playing football in the street when I was seven years old. I used to play with my male relatives. I even used to ask boys in the club if I could join them but they would say they want a boy not a girl” [email protected]

Football is a universal game, and sports shouldn’t alienate anyone. Its about time we break barriers and fight the stigma against Egyptian girls and women playing football.
