Made an entrance last night at the @amfAR Generation Cure party in the most exquisite @ViktorandRolf gown and @Piaget jewels. Proud to support @amfAR and #amfARgenCURE in raising #HIV awareness. The #AIDS epidemic is still not over, and a new generation is at risk. @amfAR has made huge progress in the fight against #AIDS, but millions of people worldwide are still living with #HIV. Together with #amfAR, we can raise awareness and be the generation that ends AIDS once and for all.
STORY PART 1
🐛 How quickly things change 🦋
This time last year, we were adjusting to our new life with Joey.
Two years ago, we were still doing fertility treatments. I will never forget how humiliated the nurses made me feel during our first fertility procedure. It’s not something I’ve shared with many people but over two years later, I am ready to tell our story. All of our testing leading up to our first IUI sessions were fine . Before conceiving Joey, I had appointments every other day at 5:30am to check my cycle. These appointments consisted of an internal exam and bloodwork. This was a terrible mix for me, since... I hate mornings, being touched by strangers and blood. After a few visits, I became immune to all of this and it was just a part of my daily life. We were scheduled for our first IUI treatment in October 2017.
I was slightly freaking out thinking O.M.G.
in just days, I could be pregnant. Not necessarily in a happy way lol... more in a panicking way.
As we mentally prepared and I had Joe give me my first Ovidrel shot (a hormone trigger shot to release eggs) we recieved a call from our doctor cancelling our morning appointment. The facility needed to look more into universal precautions due to Joe’s HIV status. Part of me was relieved to hold off but the other part of me was VERY annoyed. They knew our situation for 6 weeks and now they needed to look into precautions?? I had just done 3 weeks of appointments at 5:30am for no reason. That’s 10-12 appointments.
A week later we started over, same routine, tons of monitoring and we were schedule for our first IUI treatment November 30th, 2017. #staytuned#part1#storytime#iuijourney#iuibaby#fertilityjourney#fertilitytreatment#timeflies#hiv#aids#hivawareness#aidsawareness#ovidrel#babiesofinstagram#joeyjayde#fertilitybaby#bigkid#iuicycle#transformation#transformationtuesday

While @amfar has made significant progress in the fight against #aids , nearly 38 million people worldwide are living with #hiv. 1.7 million of these people are sadly children. The AIDS epidemic is still not over and this poses a new risk for our generation. amfAR has created generationCURE, a group of young amfAR supporters who can bring awareness and hopefully find a cure for the AIDS pandemic in our lifetime. I want to be a part of the generation that brings the AIDS epidemic to an end once and for all. Supporting events like the generationCURE holiday party last night, enables amfAR to advance the research that will one day cure HIV.

About last night...❤️❤️
While @amfAR has made significant progress in the fight against #AIDS, nearly 38 million people worldwide are living with #HIV. Of these, 1.7 million are children. The #AIDS epidemic is still not over, and a new generation is at risk. That’s why we have formed generationCURE, a group of young #amfAR supporters committed to ending the AIDS pandemic in their lifetime by helping #amfAR raise funds for its cure-focused research programs. Since its inception in 2011, generationCURE has raised more than $600,000 for amfAR through events in NYC, LA, and DC. Let’s make AIDS history once and for all. #amfARgenCURE ❤️ @delilahbelle@ameliagray
