What was the biggest challenge for you in making The Rover?⠀
Nothing really. Even before I got the part, I was so clear about how I wanted to do it. Really the only strange aspect was walking into the audition room and being like, “Am I doing this entirely wrong? I have no idea.” I had one little moment of panic. But as soon as I got I knew what I wanted the clothes to be, what I wanted the look to be—I knew everything. I wanted someone who couldn’t quite fulfill his emotions. He’s just constantly stuck between two things. And also someone who’s never really been required to think and is suddenly forced into thinking for the first time. Basically like playing a baby as an adult. It just felt so right, right from the beginning.⠀

Review by Big J
Since Robert Pattinson was cast as Batman, many people have been coming out against it, and we have to be honest we are part of the group that was not happy with it.
But unlike a big chunk of people, our issue is not with him being part of "Twilight" and not being able to act, because since "Twilight" he has shown he is an excellent actor, this movie is just another example of that.
But Pattinson does not elevate this movie on its own, Guy Pearce that already has an impressive filmography gives here one of his more authentic and striped to the bone performances what is just what this movie needed.
David Michôd shows in this movie that "Animal Kingdom" was not a fluke and that his raw style straight to the point with no messing around is really unique to his vision, and that given the freedom he can stand out as a voice that I wish did more.
The movie dresses up as an action, robbery kind of Mad Max feel at some points but under it and what makes people engage and mesmerized is the very intimate journey that our characters are going through when their world is crumbling around them, this is what pushes the story forward and gets us on board when their action in any other way could be seen as over the top.

20 years ago at this spot was where the robbery scene in the movie "Two Hands" was filmed.
My favourite Heath Ledger movie and favourite scene ☺
Rode in near freezing conditions to get there before the street got too busy, worth it to get the shot!
